Yael Sayag, spinto soprano
This brilliant soprano possesses a wonderful talent and voice that is destined to be one of the reigning divas of the future. Yael, Israeli born Soprano has a voice of rare beauty with a fantastic well-blended chest sound and a beautiful top which fills the auditorium beautifully. This young Soprano recently debuted at the Belgrade National Theater as Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello, which was a resounding success. She graduated with honors from the Buchman Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv, A member of the Israeli Opera Studio, and performed with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, and other leading orchestras in Israel including The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israel Camera Orchestra, and Sinfonietta Ranna.
In recent years, she has sung in Italy, Germany, Serbia, and Israel. During 2018 Yael will debut the role of Donna Anna (Mozart) with the Israel Camera Orchestra. Her wide repertoire of both Lyric and Dramatic roles includes Rosalinda in Strauss’ Fledermaus, Gilda in Rigoletto, Leonora in Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, the title role in Puccini’s Tosca, and title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica.
On stage, Yael was conducted by the following conductors: Daniele Caligari, Daniel Oren, Omer Meir Welber, Nir Kabaretti, Fabio Mastrangelo, Dejan Savic, David Stern, Mario Menicagli, Daniel Cohen and Others.
Ms. Sayag has received a number of scholarships, among them an Excellency Scholarship from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, the American-Israeli cultural foundation, IVAI Vocal Arts Institute, and the IMVA Marcos Scholarship. In addition, she is currently endorsed by the patron of the arts Serbian-Israeli businessman Josef Zamboki.
