American Soprano StacyLyn Bennett most recently appeared in the title role in Madame Butterfly with the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera at the Bergen PAC Theater. She also performed the principal role of Susan in the Garden State Opera's new production of Francesco Santelli's Il Consulente Matrimoniale, a new opera, receiving rave reviews. Other past roles performed include Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Rosina in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Ilia in Mozart’s Idomeno, Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore; Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, and Beatrice in the world premier of Patrick Solari’s Dante’s Inferno. Ms. Bennett also covered the role of Sharon and Sophie in the national tour of Terrance McNally’s Tony award winning Broadway show of Master Class.
Ms. Bennett has appeared both nationally and internationally at companies such as the New York Lyric Opera Theater (NYC), Vocal Productions NYC at Symphony Space, Opera Fresca (Mendocino, California), Regina Opera (Brooklyn, New York), Chelsea Opera (NYC), BMCC Opera (NYC), dell'Arte Opera (NYC), Utah Festival Opera (Logan, Utah), and a concert tour with the Centro Studio Italiani Company throughout Northern and Eastern Italy. Ms. Bennett's concert performances include Handel’s Messiah, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, Rutter’s Magnificat, and Berlioz’s Les nuits d’été.

After graduation she went on to sing with Opera Fresca (CA), and with The Regina Opera Company (NYC), and has also toured Italy as a soloist with the Centro Italia Concert Series. Ms. Bennett currently resides in New York City where she teaches private voice lessons.
