After graduating from the Conservatory, Liana was invited to work as a soloist at the Yerevan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiaryan. In 2004, she performed Adalgiza, in Bellini’s Norma. In 2006, she performed the title role in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. In 2007, she performed the role of Shoushan, in the Armenian composer Armen Tigranyan’s, David Bek. In 2009, she performed Donna Elvira, in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In 2010, she performed the role of Zemphira, in Rakhmaninov’s Aleko
Ms Ghazaryan studied with the famed Armenian singer, Cathy Berberian, with full scholarship dedicated to the support of young artists. She won first prize in the Young Composers Contest. Liana was awarded a certificate of recognition for her performance with the Julian Gayarre International Competition of Spain in 2004.
Armenian soprano Liana Ghazaryan was born in Yerevan in 1980. She completed her vocal studies at the Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan under Professor Svetlana Kolosaryan. She was a soloist with the Saryan Opera Studio 2000 through 2003. At the early age of 20 she performed Angelica in Suor Angelica by Pucciini. In 2002 she sang the role of Serpina in Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona.
Liana participated in and became a finalist at the Les Azuriales’ young artists’ festival in Niece, France (2008). Liana cooperates as a soloist with the Armenian State Cappella Choir. She is one of the first performers of Armenian composers’ works. She also performed with the Yerevan Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2009, in cooperation with this Orchestra, she sang Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci. She also sings the role of Tatyana in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, with the renowned conductor, Edward Topchyan
