Duccio Dal Monte, was born in Florence and studied singing privately with Leonard Wolowsky and Rolando Panerai.
He his debut as a soloist in oratorios and masses by Bach, Mozart, Handel and Haydn. He made his stage debut in 1991 in Mozart's Don Giovanni in Florence.
Following he was invited to sing all over Italy – in productions of Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Il Barbiere di Sevillia by Rossini, The Little Sweep by Benjamin Britten, Stravinsky's Pulcinella, then Rigoletto (Sparafucile), following in La Boheme at the Festival in Torre del Lago.
Later he came to sing Padre Guardian in Verdi’s La Forza del Destino, in Lucia di Lammermoor, Norma, Il Trovatore, Luisa Miller all over the world.
Duccio Dal Monte has more or less performed all major bass roles all over the world since his debut in 1991 under the baton of the most famous conductors & stage directors and in the most important theaters like Teatro alla Scala, Arena di Verona, Vienna State Opera etc.
