The Romanian soprano sang the role of Violetta Valery so beautifully that you want to revel in her arias even longer: an effortlessly smooth voice without a gram of sloppy sentiment, wonderful coloratura, artistic but unaffected, an expressiveness that even Violetta's self-doubt about the aria "E strano' can sound sincere.
