Mönchengladbacherin studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne. Her artistic career began immediately after graduation. Engagements have taken beside the venues in Germany to Italy, France, the Netherlands and Belarus. Andrea Hörkens has performed the roles of Gilda in Rigoletto, Violetta. She recorded her first CD under the title of Ave Maria in 2000. A selection of hymns and arias, which shows a further variant of their vocal abilities and gives an insight into her work as a song and oratorio singer.
In August 2002, she became a performer and presenter at an Opera Festival touring with gala concerts.
The second CD, Italian opera arias was recorded in May 2005 with the Plovdiv Symphony Orchestra.
Her concerts and appearances opened the doors of the finest concert halls in Germany, such as the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Hercules Hall in Munich and the city theater in Dresden.
At the opera festival at the castle Monschau Andrea Hörkens was engaged as Mimi in La Bohème and as Micaela in Carmen.
Andrea Hörkens published her third CD "Pearl of the operetta" in 2010 - a tribute to this wonderful genre of operetta.
That same year, she and her husband Thomas Roderburg performed songs on texts of Ishmael Heidrick-Barnes.
In the winter tour 2012/2013, she presents & sings in the opera gala of "The Night of the 5 Tenors", accompanied by the Plovdiv Symphony Orchestra.The native
