The highly acclaimed mezzo soprano Andrea Baker has an astounding range of repertoire. Her interpretations range from Amneris in Aida, Fricka in Die Walküre and the title role in Carmen to Mescalina in Le Grand Macabre and Nen -Nen in Dominique Legendre’s world premier of The Bird of Night. Her most recent performances of Serena in Porgy and Bess at the 2010 Edinburgh International Festival have been unanimously hailed as a major success.
